The short film discusses the topic of bicultural identity and the meaning of home from a second-generation immigrant’s perspective. I have tried out all phases of film production during these few months. I experienced how animation requires self-discipline and patience; the result was that my work touched people, and I was humbled to have success at festivals and competitions. ‘When’ also made me realize how important it is to keep telling stories and composing scenes that connect with people.
